UK. UK regional airport advertising company Airport Partners has been appointed to run the advertising and promotions concessions at the Peel Airports-operated locations of Liverpool John Lennon, Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield and Durham Tees Valley.
Airport Partners Managing Director Paula Oliver said: “We are tremendously excited about winning this contract and working closely with Peel Airports. We share their vision for growing the quality, status and value of the advertising and promotions portfolio, and will be working on a complete redesign of the offer over the next few months to include amazing new exteriors, digital screens and new innovative interior sites.
“It is a really exciting time for us, with our UK portfolio now reaching 23 airports with the addition of City of Derry Airport in Northern Ireland last month. We now sell nationally to an audience of over 26 million passengers with a hugely attractive domestic profile.”
All three airports are run by Peel Airports, which is 65% owned by Vancouver Airport Services.
Peel Airports Group Commercial Director Matthew Thomas said: “We are delighted to be working closely with Airport Partners during exciting times as we enhance, develop and vastly improve the overall passenger experience. This will ensure a truly world class and unique advertising offer at our UK airports.”
The news comes shortly after Airport Partners appointed Darren Ward as its new Head of Sales, joining after 14 years with Reed Publishing. Ward’s remit is to strengthen, build and develop the Regional and National Sales Team.
