SRI LANKA. Alpha Asia, headquartered in Sri Lanka, has appointed Alan Edwards as Buying Controller. Edwards, a Welshman, is currently Head of Inflight at Bahrain Duty Free/Aer Rianta International, Middle East.
In his new role he will report through to Paul Topping, Managing Director Asia, Alpha Airports Group, and will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing. He will be based in Colombo.
Topping said: “Alan’s inflight experience in Asia and India, along with his years at Virgin, Alpha On Board Sales & Services and Aer Rianta International will be a great assistance to our expansion programme.”
