Aldeasa-WDF makes Italian debut with 700sq m walk-through store in Naples

ITALY. Aldeasa-WDF has opened its first outlet in Italy – a 700sq m tax & duty free walk-through store at Naples International Airport.

Working in close partnership with GESAC – Naples International Airport Management Company, the travel retailer has unveiled an offer under “˜The Shop’ banner, which it claimed “provides an exciting new shopping experience for customers, alongside outstanding product choice and exceptional customer service”

An extensive range of products is available, including cosmetics and skincare, fragrances, confectionery, travel accessories, tobacco, food and beverages. Space has also been allocated within the store for special promotions, product presentations and tasting events, to “engage, entertain and inform customers and enhance their overall in-store experience”, said Aldeasa-WDF.

Thinking Napoli brings the retailer’s traditional focus on the concept of ‘Sense of Place’ to the fore


The company said it is committed to regionalising its store ranges whenever possible, to represent local specialities and products. A unique section, “˜Thinking Napoli’, has therefore been incorporated into the main store area.

This showcases souvenirs from Naples and local high-quality drinks and food products from the region, including olive oil, vinegar, cheeses, chocolates and drinks such as grappa, limoncello and lacryma.

The distinctive style of the “˜Thinking Napoli’ area reflects the heritage of Italian architecture and painted ceramics.
