UK. Alizé International is displaying its A. de Fussigny Cognac range as well as a new Alizé Rose liqueur at the TFWA Asia Pacific show next month (Stand number: H28).
Following the acquisition of A. de Fussigny by Alizé International’s parent company, it will be handling distribution and marketing of the Cognac range in domestic and travel retail markets in the Asia Pacific region.
Alizé International Managing Director Lewis Johnstone said he was delighted to be part of the development of the A. de Fussigny brand.
He said: “The Cognacs of A. de Fussigny have already shown their potential in travel retail and domestic markets but we hope that by combining their standards of quality and their flair for innovation with our skills in marketing and promotion we will consolidate existing markets and create new demand.”
He added: “The Lafragette family, our parent company, is defined by its passion for high quality products which mix immense creativity and a desire for elegance. A. de Fussigny fits neatly alongside its collection of excellent wines, Cognacs and liqueurs and we relish the prospect of promoting this fine brand around the world.”
The A. de Fussigny range comprises three segments, targeting different consumers:
A. de Fussigny Collection: Aimed at connoisseurs, the range of traditional Fine Champagne Cognac includes a refined VSOP aged for up to 12 years with nuances of jasmine, angelica, cashew, musk and incense; the rich and luxurious XO with 80% Grande Champagne grapes, aged for 20 to 25 years giving notes of pear, dried fig, ginger, chocolate, oak and sandalwood; and Extra Grande Champagne Cognac aged for up to 50 years for a complex flavour with aromas of grilled pistachio, vanilla, coconut, tea and deeper woody notes.
For Men: This selection, featuring modern lines and masculine packaging, is said to be a new generation of Cognac for a new generation of men. XO for Men has a slim, square bottle, contemporary and elegant in style. Available also in a cigar-shaped vial, the Fine Champagne Cognac is a blend of 80% Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, aged for 30 to 35 years, with nuances of oak, vanilla, candied apricot, hazelnut, nutmeg and ginger.
NYAK Very Special Cognac: A younger, more urban style, best suited to the club scene. With its modern bottle design and distinctive NYAK logo, the Cognac is a fashion statement. Smooth and aromatic in flavour with notes of grappa, hazelnut, chocolate, oak and white flowers, NYAK is a young Cognac which can be enjoyed straight, on ice or in cocktails.

Another highlight of the Singapore show will be the launch of Alizé International’s new Alizé Rose Cognac, vodka and fruit juice liqueur into Asian markets.
The liqueur has been available for the last six months exclusively from DFS outlets in Asia Pacific but is now being released onto the world stage.
Alizé Rose is a blend of premium French Cognac and vodka, strawberries, lychees and rose petals. Pink in colour and presented in a frosted glass bottle, the product is 20% abv. It joins the four other brightly coloured liqueurs in the Alizé range.
Johnstone has been delighted with the initial response to Alizé Rose since it was released in DFS outlets last December.
Referring to the brightly coloured liqueur range, he said: “Alizé looks amazing on the shelf with vivid colours of gold, red, fuchsia, electric blue and now delicate pink. It makes a fabulous display in travel retail and passengers love to sample the amazing flavours in one of our special promotions. Who could resist a cool sophisticated cocktail from a delightful young lady as they are wandering through duty free? And the conversion rate is excellent – once tasted, rarely forgotten.”
