Motorsports fashion brand Alpinestars has launched a range of men’s watches which will initially be available exclusively in travel retail.
A first-time exhibitor at the recent TFWA World Exhibition, the brand is regarded as a world leader in the manufacture of high-performance apparel, technical footwear and accessories. Alpinestars has a strong presence in all areas of motorsports.

Alpinestars Media Communications Manager Jeremy Appleton said the brand intended to establish itself as a “serious entity” in travel retail.
“The challenge is to deliver the same values that drive the business for motorsport in this sector,” Appleton said.
He said the new watch range, which combines “cutting edge design with motorsports’ DNA of precision and high-quality engineering”, was a key focus for the brand.
“Motorsport and watchmaking have been bedfellows since the earliest days of the grand prix,” said Alpinestars Men’s Clothing International Sales Manager Marco Frison. “Since then, motor racing has inspired some of the greatest watches.”

The ranges includes Tech and Heritage lines. Both are water-resistant to 100m, with 45mm stainless steel casing, Japanese movements and a three-year international warranty. Price points range from US$130 to US$250.
“This new retail collection is a natural progression for Alpinestars and further expands the recognition of its global brand, its reputation for excellence and the popularity of motorsports in high-end lifestyle fashion,” Appleton said.
The watches are already listed by eight airlines: British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline, Malaysia Airlines, Air Macau, Mega Maldives and Air Asia.
