SOUTH KOREA. Amorepacific and the Korea Breast Health Foundation hosted the 20th anniversary edition of its Pink Ribbon campaign to mark breast cancer awareness month this October.
Amorepacific hosted its annual Pink Run, which is South Korea’s largest breast cancer awareness event. The run is held across five regions in South Korea, promoting breast cancer awareness and early detection. The event has also expanded to China under the name ‘Mori Run.’

Amorepacific also launched a breast cancer information campaign called ‘Pink Tour’ which educates women about self-examination. Companies and organisations in South Korea can apply through the Korea Breast Health foundation in order to attend self-examination training sessions and breast health lectures and events. Amorepacific China also offers free examinations in depressed regions with high incidents of breast cancer.

In addition, the Korea Breast Health Foundation is also sponsoring surgery and treatments for breast cancer patients who are currently facing increased economic pressures. The foundation is also funding academic research for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
In the last 20 years, Amorepacific and the Korea Breast Health Foundation’s Pink Ribbon campaign was supported by over 390,000 participants, provided 650,000 with free educational support, offered 102,000 free breast cancer exams and funded 1,177 patients breast cancer surgery and treatments.
