Anthon Berg launches Baileys Irish Cream chocolate bottles

Coming soon to travel retail: Anthon Berg Baileys Irish Cream chocolate bottles

Liqueur chocolate specialist Anthon Berg has revealed a new Baileys Irish Cream chocolate bottle line.

Set to roll out to travel retail next year, Baileys Irish Cream will be available in three SKUs and is expected to bring incremental growth to the brand’s existing range of chocolate bottles.

The new product was highlighted at TFWA World Exhibition along with a refreshed Chocolate Cocktails range featuring new flavours.

The chocolate bottles are available in gift boxes and transparent tubes which clearly display the foil-wrapped miniature bottles

Anthon Berg International Marketing Manager André Haunsoe Kampmann pointed out that the brand is the first to launch liquid Baileys Irish Cream as a filling in chocolate bottles.

“The launch of this product line is highly ambitious and will put us ahead of the game in the steadily growing category of liqueur-filled chocolates,” he said. “We are confident it will become a flagship product line to bring incremental growth to our existing range of chocolate bottles.”

The Anthon Berg/Baileys Original Irish Cream co-branded product range also includes Baileys Chocolate, Treat Collection, Chocolate Treat Wrapped Chocolate and Mono Gift Boxes of Baileys Strawberry, Baileys Signature Taste and Baileys Salted Caramel.

Anthon Berg Area Director Travel Retail Tim Lund Sydtoft commented: “We are incredibly pleased with this opportunity to co-brand. I am confident that the demand for Baileys will be mirrored in our Baileys chocolate range.”

He said the chocolates can create a second sales opportunity if placed next to Baileys Original Irish Cream in liquor spaces in travel retail.

Anthon Berg’s refreshed Chocolate Cocktails range will roll out to travel retail in April 2023. Six improved co-branded flavours are featured in packaging redesigned to increase shelf impact.

“The new and improved Chocolate Cocktails cater to fans of our partner brands and Anthon Berg liqueur-filled chocolates,” Kampmann added. “We are extremely content with the result of this new vibrant co-branded concept, and I am confident that it will rotate well and secure a successful market penetration.”

The Cocktail Party line-up includes Mojito, with Mount Gay Rum; Cosmopolitan, with Cointreau; Espresso 43 with Licor 43; Lemon Drop with Danzka vodka; Vodka Mule with Sobieski and Pina Colada with Ron Matusalem rum. The chocolate bottles are available in 12, 16 and 26-piece packs.
