SPAIN. Food & beverage retailer Areas has opened a Burger King outlet at Bilbao Airport.
The eatery, located in Departures, measures 260sq m and has capacity for 90 diners.

The opening marks another step in Areas’ renovation of culinary options at Bilbao Airport, which the retailer has been carrying out since the middle of 2015.
Areas has so far opened SantaGloria and Arrese outlets and will open MasQMenos, Starbucks and San Miguel Exploring The World locations in coming months.
Areas CEO of Spain, Portugal and Latin Americas Oscar Vela said: “We are very satisfied with the results obtained in Bilbao since we started in May. Our goal is to offer a wide variety of brands that satisfy the tastes of all types of travellers with varied and high quality proposals. We’re certain that this new outlet will also be a success.”
Areas was awarded an eight-year contract to operate five outlets at Bilbao Airport in May.
