Areas brings Spanish favourite MasQMenos and Starbucks to Bilbao

SPAIN. Areas has unveiled a quick-service food & beverage outlet at Bilbao Airport.

The company will also open a Starbucks location on 12 December as part of a renovation of culinary options the airport, which it has been carrying out since the middle of 2015.

The 200sq m MasQMenos is located in Arrivals and has capacity for 98 diners. It offers a range of breakfasts and snacks, rustic sandwiches, salads and plates. Areas said MasQMenos was a popular brand in Spain, with 38 outlets open throughout the country.

Starbucks will be located in approximately 100q m of space in the boarding area.

Areas opened a Burger King outlet at Bilbao Airport in October, and SantaGloria and Arrese outlets earlier this year. The culinary renewal process will conclude in 2017 with the opening of ‘Exploring The World”, a Bilbao restaurant overseen by chef Ricardo Pérez.

Areas Spain, Portugal and Latin America CEO Oscar Vela said: “These two new openings will be one more step toward finalising our project to renew the culinary offer in Bilbao. We want to make this airport into a benchmark in Spain through offering various successful concepts which are suited to the needs of today’s travellers.”
