AUSTRALIA. The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand last week opened a major Arrivals store at Melbourne Airport.
The new shop, unveiled at the Victoria gateway on 16 July, offers a large range of wines and spirits, fragrances, confectionery, tobacco, cosmetics, consumer technology, watches and sunglasses.
The store is branded F1RST Tax and Duty Free, in line with the major branding theme first unveiled at the airport last August.
Including the concourse, the store covers 1,500sq m. Without the concourse it embraces 950sq m of shopping space.

For the returning traveller the Ready for Collection service has been enhanced with a new Collections desk. There is also an increased focus on this service in the Departures store, from where outbound travellers can pre-order for pick-up on their inbound leg.
“Customers find this service exceptionally convenient, shopping on departure, carrying less and collecting on their return,” said The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand CEO Jann Fisch.
“The Arrivals store is designed based on our insights of how customers want to shop on Arrival, offering great deals across a broad range of products, easy access and visibility from the walkway and a rapid shopping experience.”
