RUSSIA. Aer Rianta International (ARI) has made a number of key appointments to its team at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal D (previously known as T3), where it will trade as Runway Duty Free. The terminal, where ARI is the duty free concessionaire, is set to open in the coming months.
John Bolger is named Finance Director at the operation, effective 12 October. He reports to General Manager Garrett Coogan. Bolger previously worked with ARI from 1989 to 1995 and held the positions of Finance Director (Aerofirst), MIS Manager (Shannon) and Financial Advisor (Warsaw Airport). Since then his experience includes Finance Director – British American Tobacco (Poland), Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary – Hibernia Capital Partners and Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary – Helix Health Limited.
Stuart Rourke is named Purchasing Director, effective 2 November. He has worked as Purchasing Manager at Bahrain Duty Free since 2005. He also previously worked as Inflight Manager at Aerofirst from 1990 to 1993. Rourke’s other experience includes Director of Purchasing Retail, Food & Beverage at Sea France, and General Manager Retail Operations Purchasing and Logistics at Stena Line, based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Marina Ovchinnikova is named Chief Accountant. She has over 15 years experience in a number of senior financial roles with Ikea Group, Microsoft Russia and Navision. Her most recent role was from March 2006 to September 2009 with Swedwood Esipovo LLC (Ikea Group).She will start in her new position on October 13th and will report to John Bolger.
Pat Kennedy is named IT, Logistics and Business Process Director. He has worked for ARI since 1990 in a variety of IT and Logistics related roles. He will oversee the Warehousing, Business Processes and IT function for Runway Duty Free at Sheremetyevo Terminal D in his new role. Kennedy has already started in his new position and reports to Garrett Coogan.
Finally, Anzhelika Vetlugina is named Human Resources Director. Her previous experience includes Head of HR at Cargill Enterprises and HR Director Central Russia for Pharmacy Chain 366. She has also held a number of senior HR positions with Bunge CIS and Ikea Group.
Coogan said: “We have managed to recruit a team of very talented and experienced professionals and I am really looking forward to working alongside them on this exciting new venture for ARI.”
