MEXICO. Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) has announced that passenger traffic at its airports rose +15.8% in January compared with the same month last year to 1.1 million.
Airports to record the biggest increases were Cancun up +18.3% to 825,661, Cozumel up +22.8% to 44,886 and Villahermosa up +19.1% to 47,870.
ASUR is a Mexican airports operator with the concession to operate, maintain and develop the airports of Cancun, Merida, Cozumel, Villahermosa, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Huatulco, Tapachula and Minatitlan in the southeast of the country.
