Aurora World will highlight its eco-friendly Palm Pals plush toys at next week’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Yellow Village, G59).
The range, which takes its name from the way the toys sit in the palm of your hand, features a selection of soft beanie characters made of sustainable and eco-friendly materials.
New to the range are Airy Avocado, Juicy Strawberry, Vivi Rainbow and Summer Cloud which join existing characters including Slomo Sloth, Safara Giraffe, Chilly Penguin and Meow Kitty. All measure 13cm and retail at €9.95.
Aurora World Global Travel Retail Sales Manager Garry Stoner said: “Palm Pals has proven to be one of our most popular plush ranges, very affordable and great to collect for children and young adults alike. It’s important to keep the offer fresh, however, hence the new additions.”
Other ranges to be featured by Aurora World include Eco Nation, Sparkle Tales, Sea Sparkles, Fancy Pals and YooHoo.
All YooHoo characters have QR codes which consumers can scan for access to the dedicated website with details of YooHoo mobile apps including various games, stickers and activities for children.
“After a very challenging 18 months, we’re now seeing a positive upturn in business, particularly with our Scandinavian ferry partners and through European airports where travel restrictions are beginning to lift,” Stoner said.
“While footfall is still down, we are seeing a definite increase in spend per head and plush continues to represent a valuable impulse purchase item for retailers, especially where there is a higher percentage of family traffic.”
