SPAIN. Avolta has partnered with Spanish football club Real Madrid to launch a premium food and retail hybrid concept at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The venue, called The Corner by Real Madrid, will open in terminals 1 and 4, combining traditional Spanish food & beverage offerings with official Real Madrid merchandise.
The partners aim to expand this concept globally across the Avolta network, starting with 11 additional spaces in duty-free stores across Spanish airports. These locations will offer official Real Madrid merchandise, including sports fashion, accessories, equipment and gifts.
The Corner by Real Madrid will occupy an expansive 100sq m at the home airport of the football club.
The centrepiece is a bar inspired by the silhouette of the newly renovated Santiago Bernabéu stadium, offering small plates, tapas and a wide selection of takeaway products. The all-day menu focuses on local produce representative of traditional Spanish cuisine, including sandwiches and salads as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Adjacent to the bar, a selection of Real Madrid’s most sought-after official merchandise is available for purchase. This is complemented by a larger assortment in Avolta’s main duty-free stores across Spain.
