Avolta boosts Italian airport footprint with Verona debut and first dining concepts in Florence

ITALY. Avolta is set to make its Verona Valerio Catullo Airport debut with five dining concepts in a ten-year food & beverage contract, while strengthening its retail footprint at Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport through a six-year agreement.

Marking its entry into a new airport in north-east Italy, the global travel retail powerhouse continues to integrate world-renowned brands with Italian retail formats, creating concepts that appeal to diverse passengers, while bringing a distinctive sense of place.

Avolta is further expanding into food & beverage at Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport, marking its first F&B presence while complementing its existing travel retail operations. The contract covers two airside concepts on the ground floor, featuring a Tuscan-inspired menu alongside a traditional Italian bar and coffee format.

Avolta CEO Italy Massimiliano Santoro said: “These openings reflect how our business in Italy continues to grow and evolve. Bringing travel retail and food & beverage together allows us to better serve airports and create a more rounded experience for travellers.”

Avolta highlighted its integrated approach with these openings, with a new airport debut and its move from travel retail into food & beverage, enhancing passenger experience and supporting airport partners across key touchpoints. ‍
