Proximo Spirits’ tequila brand Jose Cuervo has revealed limited-edition bottles in celebration of Mexico’s annual Day of the Dead festivities.
A tradition that goes back over 200 years, Day of the Dead celebrations run over two days from 1 November, honouring the cycle of life and celebrating the dead in a joyful style.
The Especial Silver and Especial Reposado bottles are available now for a limited time across EMEA, APAC and LATAM markets, including travel retail.
The annual edition features artwork by Mexican illustrator and graphic artist Alfredo Conrique, paying tribute to the country’s culture and the festivities. His designs feature vibrant colours and include marigolds and flowers, along with the calavera skulls.
The brightly coloured skulls represent the cycle of life and are one of the most recognisable cultural and artistic elements of the Day of the Dead festivities.
