Danish watch brand Skagen Denmark has unveiled details of its Fall/Winter 2013 watches inspired by simplicity, natural elements and modern design.
The company has also announced that its watch model H04LSLB won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2013.
Skagen Klassik
The new Skagen Klassik series curates its most traditional styles of the past with new ones for today and tomorrow, according to the firm. The timeless classic series of men’s and women’s timepieces have a distinct design rooted in simplicity, natural elements and modern design.
The Fall 2013 series features Skagen’s signature slim design style with pure, clean and tailored elements. A polished stainless steel or ion-plated gold case paired with a matte white or black concave outer dial and etched indexes combine to create a distinctive sense of dimension.
Fitted with a highÂ‐quality signature mesh band in silver or genuine leather bands in black, white or brown, the series has a 32mm case diameter and 6.8mm depth.
Skagen Denmark Perspektiv
Inspired by an artist’s creative working environment, Skagen Denmark Perspektiv is a curated collection of men’s and women’s timepieces that are said to push the design quotient of its signature Danish aesthetic. A fusion of uncomplicated, minimalist design with sophisticated style, the new line is inspired by elements in nature.
This collection features more daring colours, distinctive materials and new evolutions in Danish design. For men, the leather bands come in an earth tone palette of black, grey, brown and green. Keeping with a sleek urban feel, watch dials are encased in a 42mm diameter matte black case with matching black faces and indicators.
For women, Perspektiv introduces leather straps in grey, dark brown, camel and burgundy. A slim case design in polished silver, ion‐plated gold or rose gold features a 34mm case diameter and 7mm depth with reflective glass dials in silver, rose gold and gold, aiming to lend an air of clean sophistication.

Created by industrial designer Hiromichi Konno, the Ikon limited-edition unisex timepiece combines the clean Danish design aesthetic of Skagen with Konno’s devotion to life as an art.
Set against a round black dial, minute and second hands are designed to stand out. Konno described this simple but striking detail as “the hands embracing the precious moment of present and future”.
Debuting in Fall 2013, Ikon is limited to 1,000 units. It features a 40mm case diameter and has a black leather strap suitable for any wrist size.
Adding to its collector’s appeal, the case backs are numbered and engraved with the designer’s signature.
Skagen jewellery
This Fall 2013, the new Perspektiv jewellery collection comprises interchangeable necklaces and pendants, featuring a fresh take on Danish design through flawless, delicate details and high quality materials.
Elements of pure frosted glass stones – “reminiscent of treasures washed upon the shore” according to the firm – dress up when paired with polished stainless steel or soft leatherette long necklaces, allowing for a tailored look.
Evoking a love for nature and natural designs, the pendants are designed to be reminiscent of glass pebbles found on the beach with a subtle touch of sparkle from the sun, it added.
The pendants are available in white, grey and a sandy hue and elements of polished steel. Interchangeable necklaces made from soft leatherette in brown or black or polished Skagen signature stainless steel chain come with an easy-to-use clasp for updating your daily look.
These designed necklaces and elegant pendants are sold separately, enabling women to accessorise and stand out by expressing personal styles.
