INTERNATIONAL. German skincare brand Babor has expanded its anti-ageing offering with Babor Wrinkle Filler, launched this month at cosmetics institutes and spas.
It is claimed to instantly plump up wrinkles, gently mimicking without needles the effect of hyaluronic acid injections, thanks to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Filling Spheres®.
These are microscopic spheres made from freeze-dried hyaluronic acid, which can penetrate skin easily due to their minute size. As soon as the spheres come into contact with moisture, they swell up, expanding to three times their original size. Consequently, they fill up the hollow under the wrinkles and literally push the wrinkles outward, according to Babor.
The filler takes effect after about one hour and lasts all day, due to the network-like structure that is formed on the uppermost layer of the skin.
Moreover, the skin’s natural matrix is said to improve with regular use of Wrinkle Filler, which is claimed to stimulate collagen synthesis and strengthen the collagen structure.
The Wrinkle Filler formula – which is designed for daily use – is rich in polysaccharides, amino acids and vitamins, and helps to protect the cells against oxidative stress. It is also recommended as an ideal make-up base.
