CHINA. Bacardi Global Travel Retail has released a pair of 25 Year Old single malt whiskies exclusively into China travel retail in partnership with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).
The new expressions are the Aberfeldy 25 Year Finished in White Wine Jupille Cask and Aberfeldy 25 Year Old Finished in Red Wine Jupille Cask, both bottled at 52% ABV. These are part of the Exceptional Cask Series – a collection of rare single malts made for whisky collectors and malt enthusiasts.
Only 270 bottles of each whisky are available through CDFG and retail at US$525.
Both whiskies have been finished in ex-Bordeaux wine casks from Château Jupille-Carillon – a small family-owned Saint-Émilion winery known for producing wines with rich, fruity flavours and smooth tannins.
The Aberfeldy 25 Year Finished in Red Wine Jupille Cask is fruity and spicy. The taste profile features red berry flavours and a subtle oakiness.
The White Wine Jupille Cask expression is characterised by its ripe peach and linseed oil notes with the same fruit and spice backbone.
As a special incentive, the first 50 buyers of both whiskies will receive a stunning black and gold display case to house their bottle.

Complex, fruity and spicy with aromas of vanilla and a rich, velvety mouthfeel; red fruits are also apparent alongside a subtle oakiness.
Aberfeldy 25-Year-Old Finished in White Wine Jupille Cask
Also fruity and spicy, but with ripe peach aromas developing with linseed notes. The finish is lightly oaky with peach syrup sweetness in the background. ✈
