Bacardi Global Travel Retail has partnered with World Duty Free Group to launch a single malt Scotch whisky collection exclusive to travel retail – the Glen Deveron, Royal Burgh Collection.
The collection is made up of the Glen Deveron 16 Years Old, 20 Years Old and 30 Years Old. Each is made with previously unreleased rare, aged whiskies hand selected from the distillery’s private reserve by award-winning Master Blender Stephanie Macleod.
It commemorates the Royal Burgh of Banff, the ancient seaport beside the Glen Deveron distillery that was granted a Royal Charter by Robert II, King of Scotland. This Charter is represented by the seal which appears on the label of every bottle.

Bacardi Global Travel Retail Managing Director Mike Birch said: “Glen Deveron is a true first for Bacardi Global Travel Retail. The entire collection, from the exquisite liquid to the premium gift packs, has been created specifically for travel retail and will be available exclusively in World Duty Free stores in the UK, Spain and internationally.
“Single malts represent an extraordinary opportunity for Bacardi within the travel retail channel and the launch of Glen Deveron is a major initiative which illustrates our commitment to the category.”
According to Bacardi, the collection will appeal to single malt consumers who have tried mainstream brands and are exploring the category in travel retail.
Available exclusively from World Duty Free stores in the UK and Spain from the end of April, they are priced from £40.99 for Glen Deveron 16 Years Old (1litre) to £150.00 for Glen Deveron 30 Years Old (70cl).

Glen Deveron is the most easterly Scotch whisky distillery, located on the banks of the River Deveron. Its single malts are crafted using copper pot stills, fine malted barley and pure local spring water. Sherry-oak casks are then used to mature the whisky to give it a full, fruity taste.
Apple and toasted cereal flavours are prevalent across the range – coincidentally the distillery is located on the site of an ancient apple orchard – and as the whisky matures it is joined by more complex notes of roasted nuts, exotic fruits and eucalyptus.

This subtle expression with a golden amber colour has notes of fine toasted
cereals and apple, making this a full fruity malt with a smooth and mellow finish.
Glen Deveron 20 Years Old: Exotic fruits
This bold expression with a deep gold colour has notes of fine toasted cereals, roasted hazelnuts and exotic fruits, making it a rich, fruity malt with a refined and long-lingering finish.
Glen Deveron 30 Years Old: Sweet & spiced
This venerable expression with its deep auburn colour begins with a refreshing note of eucalyptus that develops into notes of fine toasted cereals, sweet almonds, vanilla and coconut. This makes for a spiced, richly fruity malt with a complex and characterful finish.
