The Bombay Sapphire Electro gift pack has won 25 awards since its launch in 2012 |
Bacardi Global Travel Retail has won the award for Best Duty Free/Travel Retail Design for its channel exclusive gift pack Bombay Sapphire Electro.
The accolade was announced at the World Gin Awards, part of the World Drinks Awards programme, on 20 February. This brings Bombay Sapphire Electro’s number of awards to 25 since its launch in November 2012.
The gift pack is inspired by the brand’s global marketing campaign, “˜Infused with Imagination’, and lights up in the hands of shoppers when they take it off the shelf.
Designed by Webb deVlam, the Bombay Sapphire Electro pack uses electroluminescent ink to produce a flow of lights, illuminating artist Yehrin Tong’s illustration.
Bacardi Global Travel Retail Marketing Manager Gin/Whisky Richard Cuthbert said: “The range of prestigious accolades achieved by the Bombay Sapphire Electro gift pack design is extraordinary and this latest title highlights the brand’s exceptional impact, further highlighting its category-leading position in travel retail.”
Other Electro honours include: European Promotional Gift Award, Cannes Lions in Bronze (Design) and International Spirits Challenge in Gold (Most Innovative Pack Format).
“We will continue to innovate and push the boundaries with more ground breaking design right across the liquor category as part of our commitment to driving category growth in the channel,” added Cuthbert.
