CHILE. Today’s selection of images comes from Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport where Avolta has opened La Cava del Pisco (Pisco Cellar), a one-of-a-kind space celebrating one of Chile’s most famous spirits. Both Avolta and Santiago de Chile Airport shared a preview of the store via posts on LinkedIn.
La Cava del Pisco, launched in partnership with Nuevo Pudahuel, marks a travel retail first and celebrates the local flavour and identity of Chile. It is located in Terminal 2-E.
The dedicated concept store is focused exclusively on Chile’s grape-based spirit and highlights the rich heritage and artisanal know-how of over 2,800 pisco producers from the Atacama and Coquimbo regions.

Pisco is a type of clear brandy distilled from fermented grape juice, produced in specific regions of Chile and Peru. Known for its aromatic profile, the spirit is deeply rooted in the country’s cultural and agricultural traditions. Chilean pisco is categorised based on alcohol content from Corriente o Tradicional to Gran Pisco.
Designed as both a retail and cultural showcase, the space invites travellers to discover a curated range of premium pisco expressions, reflecting the diversity and terroir of Chile’s pisco-producing heartlands.

Avolta General Manager for Chile Pedro Vilares commented, “Every bottle that crosses this place will be an ambassador of the best of Chile.”
As reported, Avolta captured a 12-year duty-free concession at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. The contract was awarded by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the National Customs Service and begins in Q3 2026. ✈
