INDIA. Avishek Bambii Das, the highly regarded former CEO of leading Indian travel retailer Ospree Duty Free, has joined Bangalore Airport City Limited (a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Limited) as the Chief Commercial Officer.
Avishek Bambii Das remarked: “After an enriching role as Ospree Duty Free CEO – where we led globally recognised pathbreaking initiatives leading to stupendous growth outpacing passenger traffic and becoming the fastest growing duty-free in the world – I’m thrilled to take on a new challenge as Chief Commercial Officer at Bangalore Airport City Limited.

As reported, Ospree Duty Free appointed seasoned executive Gaurav Singh as CEO in December, succeeding Avishek Bambii Das.
He served Ospree Duty Free (formerly Mumbai Travel Retail Private Limited) with great distinction, having assumed the role in May 2023.
Prior to that Avishek Bambii Das was General Manager – Prestige for Pernod Ricard India from November 2021. ✈
