INDIA. To celebrate Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru’s six years of operation, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has instituted the BIAL Pinnacle Awards to acknowledge and reward performance excellence among the various airport stakeholders.
The idea of the award is to perpetuate “a culture of competition and excellence” among all stakeholders at the airport, which would eventually have “a telling impact on the performance of the airport as a whole”, BIAL stated. Its philosophy is in line with the vision of Kempegowda International Airport: “To excel in consistent, efficient and friendly delivery of airport services as the gateway to South India”.
The inaugural edition of the awards was held last week at the JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, and attended by BIAL’s Managing Director Sanjay Reddy and other senior management, as well as airport partners and industry professionals.
