INDIA. Bangalore International Airport Limited has launched a series of passenger services including a “˜meet and assist’ and porter service, in partnership with Valtrans Transportation Systems and Services. As reported, BIAL inaugurated its new passenger terminal extension in December.

The porter service, claimed to be the first of its kind in India, offers two packages: Normal and Silver. Normal porter service is priced at INR150 and provides passengers with assistance from the baggage belt to the curbside at the Arrivals terminal. At the Departures terminal passengers can be assisted with luggage to the check-in desk and with hand luggage to the security area. Lounge access is also included.
The Silver porter package mirrors the normal package with the addition of luggage assistance after security at Departures, a corporate service kit and a souvenir – priced at INR250 per porter.

Valtrans’ Meet and Assist service – priced between INR750 to INR3000 – caters to the needs of the passengers from the moment they disembark their flight at BIAL to wherever their next destination will be, according to the company. The upper end of this package includes a chauffeur service.
Valtrans offer a range of other services including: passenger transfer buggy service, left luggage service, valet parking, airport limousine management systems and parking management and solutions.
