SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has staged an exclusive event for customers featuring Korean beauty influencer and makeup artist, Pony.
CEO Kap Lee joined 100 guests, who gained entry through a draw to win 50 pairs of tickets, for model Pony’s appearance.
Pony (real name Park Hye Min), who has over six million Instagram followers and a Youtube channel with almost five million subscribers, performed makeup demonstrations and signed autographs at the event, which was staged in the Lotte Duty Free World Tower store.

The Seoul-headquartered travel retailer signed a contract with Pony in October last year, aimed at raising the sales of K-beauty (the umbrella term for skincare products originating from South Korea).
The main page of the Lotte Duty Free web store features the ‘Pony Pavilion’, with recommended cosmetics and links to makeup demonstrations via the Lotte Duty Free social networking channels.
Kim Won-hyung of the Lotte Duty Free marketing team said: “In the future, we will make a position to interact with young customers through on and offline, which will contribute greatly to the development of the K-beauty industry through the discovery of brands and products that reflect the needs of customers.”
