SERBIA. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has completed work on a €2 million modernisation of its central area on the boarding level, including an expanded store for its largest commercial partner, Dufry.
The enhanced 876sq m walk-through style store – immediately after passport control – now offers a broader selection of domestic and foreign brands, the airport said.
Beyond the Dufry store, a new bar/restaurant and a coffee shop are now open in the central area’s Tesla Square, which also hosts a gaming zone and gadgets store. In addition, there is a new children’s play area between gates 5 and 6.
The upgraded central area of Serbia’s largest and busiest airport is now also equipped with modern lighting and new comfortable furniture and floor coverings.
The reconstruction works of the central area were executed over five months, as part of the transformation plan for Belgrade Nikola Tesla, led by its owner, Vinci Airports. The project was carried out simultaneously with continuing major works to expand the airport’s capacity.
