In an overwhelming display of industry support, over 300 guests will gather at Jewel Changi Airport’s Piazza Cloud9 on Saturday 11 May for a memorable evening of fine dining, fun and fundraising in aid of Southeast Asian children’s charity Friends International.
As reported, the Beluga decanter is limited to 1,000 pieces. Beluga said its collaboration with Lalique was born from its desire to create the “the perfect decanter, which would only be worthy of an exquisite spirit”.
Beluga added: “The Epicure decanter is designed to be a symbol of the present, and a reminder that we should enjoy each moment by drawing inspiration from everything that surrounds us.”
Beluga Brand Director Katerina Mechetina and Lalique Creative Director Marc Larminaux drew design inspiration from Lalique’s heritage and production process and Beluga vodka ingredients.
Their work was taken up by artisans at the Lalique workshops in Alsace. Each decanter was handmade with crystal pieces blown into an iron mould to achieve its distinctive shape before being finished by master polishers who refined the clear and satin-finished crystal. Each decanter is engraved with a serial number.
To create Epicure vodka, Beluga master distillers used a special malt spirit produced from a select wheat harvest and pure water from the artesian springs in Siberia. The spirit was then rested for 100 days before a small portion of the final distillation was collected.
Beluga Epicure by Lalique was first presented in Russia at a dinner at the Residence of France, with the first decanter sold on 9 September for €11,000 in the Off White Charity auction.
