Bermuda LF Wade Airport seeks retail and F&B partners for new terminal

BERMUDA. Retail and F&B concessionaires have until 22 and 29 June respectively to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for spaces in the new passenger terminal at LF Wade International Airport.

In retail, ten concessions cover 9,543sq ft (887sq m) while the five F&B units cover 10,969sq ft (1,20sq m) as detailed in the tables below. Both concessions are expected to run from July 2020.

Bermuda Skyport Corporation – which handles airport operations, maintenance and commercial functions – said it is seeking EOIs from qualified retailers to market, operate and maintain one or more “world class retail concession(s)”. Skyport added: “EOIs should demonstrate capability to finance, design, implement, market, manage and operate a high quality retail concession. Relevant industry references should be provided.”

Interested parties should prepare a written summary of qualifications and experience to be submitted by the deadlines noted above.

EOIs can be sent to Carrie Thatcher, Commercial Manager, Bermuda Skyport Corporation, LF Wade International Airport, 3 Cahow Way, St Georges, DDO3, Bermuda. Contact: cthatcher@skyport.bm.

RFPs set for August

A request for proposals (RFP) will be issued to qualified parties in August, with proposals to be submitted within 90 days of the RFP date of issue. Commercial and technical information including BDA passenger numbers, growth forecasts, design criteria, financial requirements, etc. will only be shared during the RFP process.

On Wednesday, a new, much-enlarged walk-through duty-free shopping concept was unveiled by Bermuda Duty Free in the US departures lounge.
