Bionic Misaki plays with the future – 15/04/08

MONACO. Misaki has launched its Summer 2008 jewellery and watch collections called Future Zone which embody futuristic designs.

The jewellery collection has two main themes – Bionic Doll and Metallic Diva – while timepieces are described as mixing a sporty spirit and feminine details with chronograph functions.

The new collections were showcased at last week’s IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas and will also be on display at TFWA Asia Pacific in May (Stand number: G31).

JEWELLERY COLLECTION

BIONIC DOLL

The collection is for “sporty, high-tech girls, inspired by pop science fiction and mixing elaborated shapes and modern materials”, the company said.

Galactica: An “alien” piece formed of an irregular ring with many flat sections decorated with crystals.

Asteroid: Symbolising speed of light, the rose-gold plated arrow is carved by an X-treme Lustre pearl in brown colour with a pink reflection.

Bionic: Innovative coffee-coloured plating marks this electronics-inspired by jewellery: tiny X-treme Lustre mabe pearls, crystals and engravings represent circuits.

Krypto: This jewellery has a rocky spirit with a sterling silver element shaped like a cut crystal and three dangling charms: a faceted peach pearl, a rough-cut orange crystal and a black faceted glass bead.

Circuit: Playful themed jewellery with revamped “retro tools” charms: golden screws, crystallised bolts and cogs mix with faceted pearls and rough-cut cubic zirconia.

METALLIC DIVA

This collection is said to represent the classy yet futuristic woman, interpreting apocalyptic action movies and highlighting purist shapes and innovative designs.

Amidala: Stargate talisman in sterling silver and thick plates of black mother-of-pearl with anthracite reflections.

Ray: This large ray of sterling silver has an aerial feeling.

Android: Robotic look with a sterling silver ring paved with crystals and decorated with tiny screws.

Quantum: Sterling silver element inspired by a comet, enhanced by white cultured pearls.

Sirius: Futuristic pearl strand with faceted X-treme Lustre pearls in a silver-grey shade.

TIMEPIECES COLLECTION

Misaki introduces an innovative collection of chronograph watches with functions such as date and chronograph with accumulated and intermediate timing.

Android: Large timepiece feminised by crystal set case and dial in the spirit of LCD watches.

Krypto: This watch has a rocky spirit with a metallic bracelet in stainless steel elements shaped like a cut crystal. The case is asymmetric and the black dial is described as a pure contrast to the rose-gold plated or rhodium-plated metal.

Alpha, Beta and Gamma: The pureness of the stainless steel bracelet incorporates the Misaki pattern and contrasts with a complex dial in three different colour combinations: bronze dial with stainless steel bracelet, grey and black dial with stainless steel bracelet and crystal decorated case; and black dial with black-plated stainless steel bracelet.
