Italian menswear retailer Boggi Milano has announced seven store openings in domestic and overseas markets by September 2013.
Countries involved will be France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ukraine and Italy, ending later in the year with another round of Asian development.
A Venice store will begin trading on 24 July 2013, at Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, followed by a 500sq m unit in Frankfurt in early August.
Between August and mid-September the expansion will spread among three new countries – Belgium, Luxembourg and Ukraine – which will mark the 23rd, 24th and 25th territory of brand’s presence. The shops will open respectively in Antwerp, Luxembourg and Kiev.
The most awaited opening is the new Paris flagship store on Boulevard des Italiens (also see pictures below), which will double the brand’s presence in the French capital, The store, which is expected to begin trading between the end of August and mid-September, will have 640sq m of retailing space and will offer the full Boggi Milano collection and the BM39 casualwear line.
“It will stand out with an imposing street presence throughout its 11 shopping windows in one of the main Parisian shopping streets, marking an outstanding fourth French opening,” the company said.
Now covering nearly the whole of Europe, Boggi Milano will focus on Asia, where it opened a shop in Hong Kong in December 2012. The company is now preparing for a “futuristic” 400sq m location in Seoul, South Korea, alongside the existing shop-in-shop at Hyundai department store.
Boggi Milano has witnessed “exponential growth” in the last four years, having doubled its store count, and is forecasting a targeted 130 units by 31 December 2013.
The menswear specialist puts its success down to offering a well-balanced quality/price ratio and providing a total look ranging from formal to sportswear.
