New duty free listings have been registered in recent months such as Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Damascus airports and Syrian border shops.
High-profile promotions have been organised in selected airports, including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Geneva.
New bars and gift boxes have been added to Villars’ assortment. They include:
Les Bûchettes 150g gift box: An assortment of milk and dark chocolate pralines;
Heart 170g gift metal box: This box contains “old-fashioned” chocolate hearts;
La Maîtresse (‘Teacher’) 250g metal gift box: Described as a Swiss Specialities Collection, each box contains an exclusive assortment of four wrapped chocolates such as Milk Praline Almond filling, Milk Praline and Wafer Chips, Gianduja Orange Peels and Dark Praline and Wafer Chips.
Villars Tablets with Stevia extract: Targeted at people who want to limit their consumption of sugar, Villars is said to be the first chocolate company to use a sugar substitute with a natural sweetener that comes from the Stevia plant cultivated in South America.
Villars’ philosophy in its chocolate production is not to use colorants or artificial aromas and flavours and to use only natural ingredients. The company now includes the words “All natural” on each bar.
New gift boxes will be presented on Bonardo Travel Retail’s stand at the forthcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Stand number: Blue Village H29).
