US. Bond No. 9 New York will reinforce its commitment to the travel retail channel with a high-profile presence at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Green Village, Stand L37).
Company Founder and CEO Laurice Rahme will personally attend the show. A key focus will be Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue, the third of the Warhol Collectible Eaux de Parfum, created in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
With Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue, Bond No. 9 returns to Andy Warhol’s origins and celebrates the mutual sensuality of shoes and eau de parfum.
The retro-chic chypre scent takes its inspiration from Warhol’s roots as a commercial illustrator in the 1950s, a period when Warhol won many commendations and awards to become one of the most famous and sought-after commercial illustrators in New York City.

“With fanciful shoes the most directional fashion story in recent years, we found our theme when we discovered the rich lode of phantasmagorical shoes Warhol created on paper 50 years ahead of their time,” explained Rahme.
“The overall effect is witty and sophisticated”¦If Andy Warhol was a mirror of his time, he also reflected the vitality and creativity of his adopted city – exactly what Bond No. 9 is about.”
The full Bond No. 9 fragrance collection (named after the address of its headquarters boutique at 9 Bond Street, in Noho), was created as an olfactory homage to New York City.
The 34 women’s, men’s, and unisex eaux de parfum have a dual mission: to restore artistry to perfumery, and to mark every New York neighbourhood with a scent of its own.
Each fragrance represents a specific downtown, midtown, or uptown locale, or a city-wide sensibility, thereby scenting the entire island of Manhattan, according to the company.
The repertoire includes Nouveau Bowery, Great Jones, Nuits de Noho, Chelsea Flowers, Fashion Avenue, Park Avenue, and Riverside Drive. There are also scents that celebrate New York’s sweet tooth for chocolate, its passion for Champagne, and its search for tête-à -tête seclusion.
Bond No. 9 claims to have restored the grand art of perfume blending, using only high, 18-22% concentrations of pure eaux de parfums. Each fragrance has been blended in New York, by hand-picked French perfumers.
