US handbag and accessories brand Bravo Handbags is introducing its products to travel retail at next month’s Summit of the Americas.
Bravo Handbags was founded in 2000 by Terry Smith, who invented a process of enamelling lightweight calfskin leather. During this process the leathers are dyed and embossed with prints, many of which are designed in-house by designer Irina Cooper.
The enamelling process is said to ensure that handbags and wallets are scratch, crack and RFID-proof.
Bravo Handbags creates 60 to 75 new handbag styles every year and each one is limited to 1,000 pieces per colour sold.

Its handbags are currently sold in the USA, Canada, China, Korea and Japan.
The company also sells sunglasses which are handmade by Buddhist monks in Tibet. Currently one style, in two colours, is available. From June, Bravo Handbags will assemble six more styles of optical sunglasses, which are designed in Tibet.
