Bristol Airport to double fragrances and cosmetics space amid big retail expansion

UK. Bristol International Airport has responded to rapid passenger growth by introducing an extensive retail refurbishment, expected to be completed early next month.

The airport expects to cater for 4.5 million passengers this year (an increase of +12.5% from 2003) and is expanding its retail offer accordingly.

Among the new shops at the airport will be Cotton Traders, The Chocolate Box and Tie Rack.

In addition there will be an extended Travel Value shopping area run by The Nuance Group. This will offer a wide range of quality duty free liquor and tobacco, fashion and accessories – including for the first time the luxury brand Gucci – plus jewellery and watches, confectionery, destination products, and electronics. The expansion will also provide passengers with the widest ever choice of perfumes and cosmetics at the airport.

Bristol International’s retail and concessions director Chris Martin said: “In response to extensive customer research, we are investing a significant amount of money into an extended shopping experience at Bristol International. The expansion of our tax and duty free store will not only see us double the size of our perfume and cosmetic range but it will enable us to bring in major new brands such as Gucci.

“The arrival of Cotton Traders, Tie Rack and Chocolate Box will complement our existing range of shops, providing an even wider selection of quality goods for everyone at the airport.”
