CHINA. British Airways is boosting its flights to Beijing and Hong Kong this year. According to Reuters, British Airways will boost the number of London-Beijing flights from three to four per week in April and to five in June. It will also increase its London-Hong Kong frequencies to 17 a week in June from 14.
As already reported this week in The Moodie Report, China’s skies are opening rapidly with a new agreement signed with Australia and traffic predicted to rise by +19% this year alone. The addition of further flights by British Airways adds to this momentum – good news for Chinese duty free retailers and for overseas locations serving Chinese traffic.
