Brown-Forman reveals Glenglassaugh 44 Year Old with Dubai Duty Free

The 44 Year Old whisky showcases the tropical and coastal flavours of the Glenglassaugh distillery in Sandend, Scotland

UAE. Brown-Forman has partnered with Dubai Duty Free for the exclusive release of Glenglassaugh 44 Year Old Single Malt.

The limited-edition whisky is part of the Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection. It was matured in a Pedro Ximenez Cask for 44 years, resulting in a rich flavour. It launched with Dubai Duty Free in December with only 274 bottles available.

Crafted by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, Glenglassaugh 44 Year Old showcases the coastal character of the Glenglassaugh distillery.

The expression offers aromas of salted caramel with blackcurrant, blood orange and blueberry pastille. On the palate it blends cherry with almond and mandarin orange flavour with hints of grapefruit, star anise and nori.

Each bottle is embossed with the cask number #3059, elevating the whisky’s appeal for collectors.

The rare expression is housed in a striking wooden presentation box complete with a gold plaque that says “bottled exclusively for Dubai Duty Free”. It was launched to coincide with Dubai Duty Free’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

Dubai Duty Free Senior Vice President Purchasing Sharon Beecham added: “We are delighted for the release of this special and exclusive single malt whisky to commemorate our 40th anniversary. It’s a testament to the partnership we share with Brown-Forman in bringing travel retail exclusives and rare collector’s items, which are limited in number, to our customers.”

Glenglassaugh Distillery has been operating on a hilltop above Sandend Bay since 1875.

The surrounding mineral-rich waters, coastal warehouses and sea air contribute to the creation of a ripe and lush whisky with tropical coastal character. In 2008, the distillery revealed several rare whiskies to create the Serpentine Coastal Collection. ✈
