Bruyerre is set to bloom in travel retail – 03/12/09

Re-launched this year are Bruyerre’s Le Délicieux 100g tablets containing pralines with nuts in gift packaging

SWITZERLAND. Luxury Belgian chocolate brand Bruyerre marked its first presence at the TFWA World Exhibition with a display of its gifting innovations, including bouquets of roses made entirely from chocolate. Bruyerre is represented in travel retail by Francis and Renia Beylemans of Swiss-based agent Francis Selection.

For travel retailers, Bruyerre produces triangular-shaped destination packs (180g) with pictures of city landmarks on the front, which can be easily changed to show any city. “The Prague version is selling very well,” Francis Beylemans told The Moodie Report in Cannes.

Also on show were 250g rectangular gift boxes presented in burgundy and gold colours containing all dark, no alcohol and assortments. Ballotins in 175g are also available.

A 250g tin presentation in the shape of Bruyerre’s famous branded delivery van and a tin money box are among the reusable gift items.

Bruyerre’s innovative rose stems – edible versions of real flowers – are made from milk, dark, white and raspberry chocolate. The rose flowers without the stems are also available in 180g triangular gift boxes.

Still on the love theme, chocolate hearts come in 75g red heart tins.

Re-launched this year are the company’s Le Délicieux 100g tablets containing pralines with nuts in square-shaped gold and burgundy coloured packaging.

The array of gifts also includes a three-tier Carpe Diem box of pralines, which can be reused afterwards as a jewellery box; and the La Cabosse cylindrical gift box with a picture of the Bruyerre delivery van on the front.

For gourmets, there are Lolla chocolates with foie gras (frozen with a shelf-life of six months), presented as two chocolates in a black and gold box; and Figue chocolates containing fig marmalade and foie gras.
