NETHERLANDS. B&S Shop Fly has opened its walk-though store at Eindhoven Airport, with a renewed and extended travel retail offering. It is claimed to be the first walk-through shop at an airport in The Netherlands
The store is located at the airport’s airside departures area and covers 600sq m, offering a wide range of perfumes & skincare, jewellery, sunglasses, spirits & wines, tobacco, books & magazines, confectionery, fashion and souvenirs.
B&S said it had worked in close collaboration with its leading A-brand suppliers and as a result new categories – such as Dutch Specialties – have been introduced to appeal to both local as well as international travellers.

It added that the expansion of the shopping area (from 200sq m) has enabled significant growth of the assortment offered.
B&S Retail Manager Sjoerd van Hout said: “Due to the excellent relationship established with the management of Eindhoven Airport, we have been able to create this new inspiring store, bringing our retail to the next level in line with our ambitions.”
The store’s concept includes five different marketing elements matching the buying behaviour, specific needs and emotions of travellers. Customers will find the best deals in the ‘Top Selection’, ‘Special Offer’ or ‘Product of the Month’ sections.
Meanwhile, new products can be found in the ‘What’s New’ area and exclusive products in the ‘It’s Exclusive’ segment.
