UAE. Two Irish brands, Butlers Chocolates and Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, have joined forces with Dubai Duty Free in a cross-category promotion to target arriving passengers.
The collaboration, which launched this month (August), presents the Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin collection in all its formats; as the original spirit or through the Butlers Chocolates truffle and bar range.
As reported, Butlers Chocolates launched its chocolate range, developed in collaboration with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, into global travel retail in 2017.
In 2018 travel retail specialists Duty Free Global and The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney launched a 1-litre, travel shopping-exclusive edition of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin.
Butlers Chocolates International Sales Director Karl Marnane said: “We are delighted to work with the team at Drumshanbo Irish Gin on this exciting cross-category initiative. We would like to thank the confectionery and liquor departments at Dubai Duty Free for their ongoing support”.
