Liquor company ByeJoe showcased its version of the ancient Chinese spirit Baijiu at last week’s IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas.
Baijiu, which means “˜white liquor’ or “˜white spirit’, is the most popular spirit in the world, with over one billion cases consumed each year. It is traditionally consumed at 100% to 130% abv straight and at room temperature.
ByeJoe has created two lighter versions (40% abv) of the spirit, in a bid to make it more palatable for Western consumers, but authentic enough for Chinese customers.
The essence of ByeJoe is handcrafted in small batches in South China by local artisans from 100% red sorghum, a gluten-free, high-protein grain that is high in anti-oxidants. The bottling, packaging and flavour infusion take place in the USA.

At IAADFS the company also presented its newly-designed custom furniture for the duty free channel which is available now.
