CAAS issues two tenders for Low Cost Terminal at Singapore Changi Airport – 10/10/05

SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has issued two tenders for its new Low Cost (airline) Terminal, due to open in the first quarter of next year.

The CAAS has offered a three-year contract from 1 February 2006 until 31 January 2009 for a multi-brand sports concession in the terminal’s departure/transit lounge. Bids close on 31 October.

In food & beverage it has issued a tender for a brand name “˜Local Snacks/Tidbits’ concession in the Low Cost Terminal. The contract also runs from 1 February 2006 until 31 January 2009. Bids close on 28 October.

As reported, on 26 September the CAAS granted incumbent Changi liquor & tobacco retailer DFS Group the contract to sell those items in the Low Cost Terminal as part of an extension and broadening of its existing contract until the new T3 is opened.
