Caffè Ritazza gives summer a Nordic flavour – 21/06/07

There’s a lighter look to Caffè Ritazza’s summer menu

INTERNATIONAL. SSP-owned Caffè Ritazza has given a Nordic twist to its menu, with the addition of fresh dishes, seasonal desserts and drinks for the summer months.

All prepared on-site, the new offerings include ciabatta bread filled with Swedish prawns, red onion, dill and mayonnaise, plus a light salad containing a mix of prawns and smoked salmon on a bed of lettuce.

“We constantly review our menu and search for new inspiration to meet consumer tastes,” said Caffè Ritazza International Product Manager Charlotte Beecham. “Nordic flavours are very popular at the moment and the style of food is perfect for lighter dishes required for the summer. The new menu is available across all of Caffè Ritazza’s UK sites and selected international outlets.”

Two new cakes cater for sweet-toothed travellers: a Victoria sponge filled with raspberry jam and a layer of butter cream; and a strawberry tart with a crumbly pastry case encasing strawberries.

Also launched is a range of cold drinks. Pure fruit smoothies are available in three flavours – strawberry and banana, mango, and raspberry and orange – along with toffee and cappuccino frappes, plus iced Americano and latté coffees.
