Capital One Travel debuts elevated dining experience with Capital One Landing

USA. Capital One Travel has partnered with José Andrés Group to launch Capital One Landing, an alternative to the traditional airport lounge, bringing elevated dining to metropolitan airports where shorter stays are the norm.

José Andrés is the only chef worldwide to have a two-star Michelin restaurant and four Bib Gourmands.

The concept is a complement to the existing Capital One Lounges.

Chef José Andrés will design Capital One Landing’s food & beverage menu, focusing on Spanish-style tapas, debuting at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B.

Last year, Capital One opened Capital One Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and will open at Denver International Airport and Dulles International Airport in early 2023.

Chef José Andrés said: “Travel is a huge part of my life, and food is deeply linked to the travel experience. It’s the best way to learn about a place and its people. But as someone who spends a lot of time in airports, many times I find myself wanting more.

“When Capital One came to us with the idea of creating a new kind of dining experience, our team immediately started to think of the Spanish tapas way of eating with the bounty of American farms and traditions – the very best of both countries. We cannot wait to share these new Capital One Landings with the people of the world.”

Later this year, Capital One Travel will also launch Premier Collection, a selection of hotels and resorts around the world from 1 Hotel Miami Beach to The Ned NoMad in New York City, Le Pavillon de la Reine in Paris andCOMO Castello Del Nero in Italy. They will be accessible through Capital One Travel and Venture X cardholders.

OMO Cocoa Island, Maldives: Capital One Travel will launch Premier Collection, a selection of hotels and resorts around the world, accessible to Capital One Travel and Venture X cardholders

Capital One Travel Venture X cardholders earn unlimited 10X miles per dollar on Premier Collection bookings and can earn hotel loyalty points and status, where applicable. Benefits include a US$100 USD experience credit (or the local equivalent) to use on dining, spa, and other activities during their stay; breakfast for two; complimentary Wifi and benefits such as early check-in, late checkout, and room upgrade.

Escapism: Capital One Lounges offer an escape from the airport crowd. Passengers can recharge with all-inclusive amenities such as relaxation rooms, high-speed wifi and chef-inspired food
