CHINA. Cartier and China Duty Free Group have partnered to welcome the holiday season with the launch of The Cartier Box pop-up at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay.
The Cartier Box was unveiled in early December and will remain open until 28 February, capturing the peak Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day gifting periods. It is located in the Watch Zone of Block B.
Shoppers at the CDF Mall are invited to step inside The Cartier Box, designed with the theme ‘The Art of Gifting’, where they can discover Cartier’s range of watches, jewellery, leathergoods, fragrances and other lifestyle objects.

Festive elements wrap the pop-up, which was inspired by the maison’s signature case. It highlights the craftsmanship and heritage of the Cartier universe, while offering an engaging and festive shopping experience.
“Ahead of the most joyful season of the year, The Cartier Box is a gateway to a luxury gifting paradise that celebrates the Maison’s values of love, celebration and togetherness,” commented Cartier Global Travel Retail Director Virginie Martignac.

“The Cartier Box design evokes the rich heritage of the Maison, the savoir-faire of our craftspeople and the pure enjoyment of giving or receiving a Cartier present. We hope that travellers will immerse themselves into our exquisite collections of accessories and icons – and bring The Art of Gifting to life for themselves in Hainan.”
The Cartier Box was first launched when Cartier was founded almost 175 years ago. The timeless Cartier box is covered in Moroccan leather, decorated with a gold lace border and padded with black velvet or white silk. In 1970, Cartier crafted a pill box with a guilloché enamel design that paid tribute to the elegance of the Cartier box.
