SOUTH KOREA. Cartier has revealed more details of its redesigned airport boutique at Incheon International Airport in partnership with Shinsegae Duty Free.
As reported, the Terminal 1 store reopened its doors on 12 March. Positioned within one of the airport’s most prestigious retail zones, the redesigned boutique blends the Maison’s luxury codes with locally inspired elements reflective of Seoul’s cultural identity.
It offers Cartier’s jewellery, timepieces, leathergoods, fragrances and accessories.
The store features Cartier’s signature champagne-gold façade. A refined interior of warm reds and soft beiges, inspired by traditional Korean architecture, is complemented by wooden detailing which pays homage to historical Korean panel work.
A central element is the boutique’s focus wall, which references the fluid silhouette of the Incheon Bridge alongside Cartier’s emblematic panther motif.
The opening reinforces the travel retailer’s strategy to build a curated “luxury fashion boutique zone”, featuring key global brands since winning the DF4 zone (Fashion & Boutique) concession at the airport in 2023.

Shinsegae Duty Free CEO Lee Seok-gu commented: “This celebrated boutique has remained a beloved destination for travellers for over two decades. Its timeless and elegant transformation stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit we share with Cartier.
“We look forward to continuously engaging travellers with our exceptional services to foster even deeper connections.”
“Our long-standing partnership with Shinsegae Duty Free has been essential to successfully bringing this reimagined airport boutique to life,” commented Cartier Global Travel Retail Director Virginie Martignac.
“The transformation embodies the Maison’s ongoing mission to curate immersive destinations across our airport network, and we look forward to welcoming travellers to discover an enriched journey that bridges tradition with modernity at Incheon International Airport.” ✈
