SWITZERLAND. Cartier has unveiled its first airport boutique in Switzerland at Zurich Airport on 29 July in partnership with Swiss multi-brand watch and jewellery retailer Bucherer.
The opening enhances Cartier’s growing presence at European airports, underlining its ambition to elevate the travel retail shopping experience for luxury travellers in the region.
Located in a prime location at the Airside Centre, the store concept is rooted in strong sense of place, combining Cartier’s craftsmanship heritage with inspiration drawn from Zurich’s cultural richness and natural landscapes.

At the entrance, travellers are greeted with an elegant champagne-gold façade. The boutique features a series of colour-themed spaces, each inspired by one of Zurich’s four seasons.
Spring is evoked through soft pastel tones at the entrance, while the VIP salon brings the energy of summer with vibrant accents. Autumn is conveyed in the men’s area through warm, earthy hues and winter is celebrated with festive champagne-gold detailing throughout the space.
A focal point of the design is the architectural feature wall, which pays tribute to Zurich’s architectural heritage while incorporating Cartier’s signature panther motif.
The boutique presents a carefully curated assortment of Cartier creations, including jewellery, timepieces, fragrances and leathergoods, tailored to the needs and preferences of discerning travellers

“Cartier’s arrival at the Airside Centre marks an important addition to Zurich Airport’s portfolio of world-class luxury maisons,” said Zurich Airport Head Commercial Centers Heidi Köpple.
“This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience for travellers and reinforcing Zurich Airport as a premier destination for luxury retail.”
Cartier Global Travel Retail Director Virginie Martignac added, “As our first airport boutique in Switzerland, our opening in Zurich Airport marks a key milestone to strengthen our presence across key international airports worldwide.
“Combining Zurich Airport’s status as a leading travel hub with Bucherer’s expertise as a long-standing trusted partner, we are proud to bring to life an elevated experience that reflects the Maison’s timeless elegance and craftsmanship.”
Bucherer International Retail Director Florian Gattiker commented, “We are delighted to enhance our partnership with Cartier through the launch of its airport boutique in Switzerland. Through a collaboration built on a shared vision of curating unforgettable shopping experiences for travellers around the world, we look forward to welcoming both local and international clients into this unique space.” ✈
