The first World Class Bar opens onboard Celebrity Eclipse |
Celebrity Cruises and Diageo Global Travel Americas have partnered to launch a first “˜World Class Bar’ onboard the Celebrity Eclipse. The new bar space is said to provide “interactive and luxurious drinks experiences” created by World Class-certified mixologists.
The World Class Bar debut on Celebrity Eclipse will soon be followed by bars onboard Celebrity’s four remaining Solstice Class ships.
The curated menu features new craft cocktails and a series of “rituals”, available only onboard Celebrity, including:
Mystic Ketel One – a tropical cocktail made with Ketel One vodka. A specially designed kettle cools the mixture of strawberries, pineapple, aloe vera, lime juice, ginger liqueur and Ketel One and releases a vapour.
Zacapa Old Fashioned – Zacapa 23 Rum is mixed with angostura bitters and a dash of chocolate mole for a twist on a classic cocktail
Celebrity No Ten- made with Tanqueray Ten gin, fresh raspberries, a dash of bitters, lemon juice and crème de violette and topped off with ginger ale.

Since 2009, over 15,000 bartenders have been educated in mixology by the World Class programme, with the Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year competition showcasing some of the best talent in the industry.
To celebrate the recent launch of the World Class Bar on Celebrity Eclipse in Miami, the Bar played host to a series of events. On a return voyage from Southampton to Paris, World Class VIPs including Master Distillers and Ambassadors from leading spirit brands including Zacapa, Cîroc, Haig Club and Ketel One, took guests through mixology masterclasses and ritual serves. Guests had the unique opportunity of sampling special World Class cocktails mixed by those responsible for crafting the spirits, to hear first-hand how they are made and how the flavours of each lend themselves to certain cocktails.
