Chanel introduces Clairvoyance Fall/Winter makeup collection

Clairvoyance draws inspiration from the mystical symbols that surrounded Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel

Chanel has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 Makeup Collection Clairvoyance, which draws inspiration from the mystical symbols and objects that were dear to Founder Gabrielle Chanel throughout her life.

The collection, created by Chanel Global Creative Makeup Artist Cécile Paravina, will launch in select doors in global travel retail in October.

The Clairvoyance collection is heavily influenced by the themes of numerology, astrology and divination.

Chanel’s apartment at 31 rue Cambon, filled with objects such as crystal balls and tarot cards, provided the conceptual backdrop for this latest collection. Paravina channelled these influences into a makeup range that combines intense purples, greens and orange hues.

“This collection is more than just a connection with esoteric symbols,” commented Paravina. “I like to think that Mademoiselle Chanel herself could predict the future in matters of style, fashion, form and colour. She was capable of anticipating and creating what would be relevant in the future. As an artist, I find that very inspiring.”

Blood Orange and Lavende are the two tarot-inspired blush shades introduced in the Clairvoyance collection

The Clairvoyance collection includes several limited-edition products. These include the Les Tarots de Chanel Blush, Améthyste Noir Allure Mascara, Les 4 Ombres Eye Shadow Palette, Le Crayon Lèvres Lip Pencils, Rouge Allure Liquid Velvet Lip Colours and Le Vernis Nail Colours.

The Les Tarots de Chanel Blush was expanded to include two shades – Blood Orange and Lavende – offering a fresh take on traditional blush colours.

The Noir Allure Mascara in Améthyste delivers a deep, vibrant purple hue; while the Les 4 Ombres Eye Shadow Palette has been reimagined with new colours to reflect the collection’s mystical theme.

The Le Crayon Lèvres Lip Pencils and Rouge Allure Liquid Velvet Lip Colours have been extended with a variety of shades, from subtle beige tones to bold oranges.

The Le Vernis Nail polish line has introduced two colours, Phénomène and Spirituelle, continuing the range’s emphasis on rich, intense shades.

The collection, available in Chanel boutiques and selected beauty counters worldwide, reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation in beauty, while honouring the legacy of Gabrielle Chanel.

31 Le Rouge Expansion

A dozen new matte shades have been introduced in the sustainable and refillable 31 Le Rouge lipstick line

In addition to Clairvoyance, Chanel has expanded its 31 Le Rouge lipstick line with 12 new matte shades. Each shade is drawn from the house’s rich fashion heritage. The expanded range launched in select Chanel stores in global travel retail on 16 August.

Four years in the making, 31 Le Rouge is a refillable lipstick housed in a mirrored case, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s famous mirrored staircase in her 31 Rue Cambon apartment.

Designed by Chanel Head of Packing and Design Creation Sylvie Legastelois, who has been with the house for nearly 40 years, 31 Le Rouge is crafted entirely from glass and metal. ✈
