BRAZIL. Chanel has partnered with Dufry to open a stand-alone beauty boutique at São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport.
The 65sq m store, located in Terminal 3 Departures, is dedicated to the French label’s fragrances, make-up, skincare and beauty accessories. The luxurious Les Exclusifs de Chanel and Les Eaux de Chanel perfume collections are also available.

Chanel described the space as “a true place of expression with a story to tell”, explaining that the décor will change regularly to reflect the seasons as well as new collections.
Different areas convey different elements of the maison’s story. One area, for example, was inspired by a curved mirror-lined staircase at the Parisian apartment of founder Coco Chanel.
Elsewhere, transparency visuals will change according to the collections available. Displays encourage visitors to test and play with products. Chanel said that the visual merchandising concept aims to surprise and delight.
Eyewear will also be available, marking Chanel eyewear’s debut in Americas travel retail. The Spring 2019 collection features eyewear chains as well as frames featuring the chain motif. Chains have long been a signature of Chanel’s designs.
Chanel explained that its sunglasses and opticals are conceived as much as accessories or pieces of jewellery as they are a practical object.
